The Green Candidates’ Academy is co-hosted by the Orange County League of Conservation Voters and the Orange County Sierra Club Political Committee.
Both non-partisan organizations endorse candidates in local races and the OCLCV also functions as a PAC which contributes to local candidates.

Coastal Commission Reception
Let’s make a real effort to attend this. We can form car pools if you like. Let me know. I will be going for sure. The new commissioner, Esther Sanchez, will be there.
Location: the reception will be held in the Library directly adjacent to the City Hall in Oceanside where the CCC will be meeting.
Coastal Commission Reception – 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, Oct 7.
The San Diego and Orange County environmental communities are hosting a reception for the Coastal Commissioners and Staff. The event is set for Wednesday, October 7th from 6 to 8 pm. The commisioners may be delayed if the schedule runs long, but the bar will be open at 6. The reception will be in the Community Room of the Oceanside Library, which is in the City Hall complex near where the hearings will be held.
The reception is open to members and friends of local environmental organizations. The cost is $30.00 per person and includes Hors D’Oeuvres, water, sodas, beer, wine and a signature cocktail TBD. It also includes a small donation to ORCA to assist in statewide efforts.
We need to get a head count by this Friday, October 2nd to order the food and drinks, so please act now!
